Here at Blackflag, we’re all about raising a glass to local legends, and Taniah Meyers absolutely fits the bill. Growing up just down the road in Coolum Beach, Meyers transformed her early passion for skateboarding into a global journey packed with achievement, influence, and community spirit.

Taniah started skating in primary school and hit her competitive stride as a teenager. Since then, she’s represented Australia at major contests around the world, earning national titles and rising through international ranks. Whether it’s her signature backside ollie or high-speed bowl grinds, Meyers brings bold style and relentless drive to every session.
Her competition track record is impressive: from Bowlzilla Gold Coast podiums to Global Qualifiers and World Championships, Taniah has built a name as one of Australia’s top park skaters. She’s clinched multiple top-three finishes and has been featured as a standout on teams like Santa Cruz ANZ.
Fastplant: building the future.
Taniah doesn’t just skate—she shapes the future. As co-founder of Fastplant Skateboarding, she’s created a business focused on coaching, confidence, and fun. Alongside Mikayla Senior, Meyers turns her years of experience into guidance for the next generation, emphasizing creativity and personal growth through skating. Fastplant Skateboarding’s mission: help young skaters discover their joy and open up new pathways in the sport.
Giving back and inspiring.
Meyers is a true community champion. She’s been teaching skateboarding for more than five years, always finding joy in sharing the stoke when someone nails a new trick. She believes skating teaches life skills—persistence, perseverance, and confidence—all while keeping fun at the heart of the experience.
When she’s not traveling and competing, Taniah’s busy building lifelong friendships and memories on and off the board. She also gives back by inspiring young athletes in the Sunshine Coast scene, ensuring her legacy grows with each new skater she helps.
